General Questions

What do I do if I'm going to be inactive for 7+ days?
Contact leadership and request an excused absence. These will be approved unless:

Requests are sent too often from the same user
The absence is expected to last longer than 1 month

For absences longer than 1 month, please leave the clan and rejoin when your schedule allows.

What's the best way to get in contact with clan leadership?
Contact us on Discord. Messages sent in clan chat have a chance to be burried if there's too much traffic. Sending a message on Discord guarantees it will be seen.

What do I do if I'm interested in a leadership position?
Contact splitriver on Discord (@splitriver1). Although we may not have a leadership position available at the time, we'll take your interest into consideration if something opens up.

Can I join if I'm rushed?
It depends. If you're unsure then take a screenshot of your base and send it to us on Discord for review. Severe rushes aren't allowed.

Can my friend who's a lower TH join?
Yes. We believe Clash of Clans is a game centered around community and find it important that friends have the opportunity to play together in the same clan. If you have a friend who can't join the clan due to TH level, let leadership know and provide their player tag/link. As long as it's just 1 friend, we'll send them an invite.

Can my alts join?
Each member is permitted to have a maximum of 1 alternate account join the clan.

How do I get promoted?
Elder is given to long-standing members who have proven they consistently meet our expectations. Promotion to Elder is given at our leaderships discretion. Co-leader is available only if positions are open in our leadership team. Co-leaders must be vetted, interviewed, and over 18.

Clan Wars

How do I get added to clan wars?
If you want to participate in clan wars, opt in using the war preference status on your profile. We use this status to dictate who's added to regular clan wars. If you need to take a break from wars just remember to opt out.

Why did I get added to a regular clan war when I was opted out?
Clash of Clans only allows for wars to run with member counts in intervals of 5 (e.g. 5, 10, 15, etc.). Most times our opted in member count falls somewhere between an interval of 5 so we must add members to start the war. If this happens, we'll' ping you to let you know you've been added. You won't be penalized for missing war attacks in this case.

Who should I attack in war?
This isn't an all-inclusive list but a general guideline. If your mirror hasn't been attacked, start there. If your mirror was already taken but not 3-starred, try to clean it up. If your mirror was 3-starred, go for cleanup on other bases. If there are no bases left you feel confident cleaning up, attack for loot. Similarly if there aren't any bases left to clean up, attack for loot.

CWL

How do I get added to CWL?
If you want to reserve a spot in CWL then join our Discord, link your account, and add yourself to the CWL roster. Any requests submitted in clan chat will be denied.

Do I have to reserve a spot in CWL to be added?
No. We run 30v30 CWL and may not have 30 reservations to fulfill. We'll fall back to those that are opted into wars to fill the remaining slots. If you're opted in, you still have a chance to be added. Keep in mind this is not a guarantee; reference "How do I get added to CWL?" to see how to reserve your spot.

Who should I attack in CWL?
Your mirror. Leadership will communicate if there is ever an exception to this rule.

When is the latest I can sign up CWL?
All requests to join must be submitted by war day 3. Any requests submitted on or after war day 3 will be denied.

How are CWL bonuses distributed?
CWL bonuses are distributed to the top players on our leaderboard who follow clan rules. This is a point of drama for many clans. If this isn't ok with you, then this clan may not be a good fit. This is how we do it every time and it will not change.

Why was I taken out of CWL?
There can be a number of reasons:

To make space for other players who wish to join
For breaking our rules
Having poor performance

Generally we'll only swap players out that are:

Lower on the leaderboard
Unlikely to receive a bonus
Have scored the 8 star minimum to receive full CWL rewards

There may be exceptions to this. There's a lot of gray area in CWL and keeping things 100% fair isn't possible every time. Have patience with your leadership team.

Clan Games

I joined the clan after starting Clan Games with a different clan. Will I be kicked since I can't contribute any points?
No. We keep track of the players who join after Clan Games starts. You won't be required to contribute any points if you join the middle of Clan Games. You will however be expected to meet our 1,000 point minimum quota for future Clan Games.

Is there any additional reward for players who finish clan games first or score the max amount of points?
We do not provide any extra incentive for finishing clan games quickly or scoring max points.

Raid Weekend

Do I have to participate in Raid Weekend?
Yes, we require all members to participate in raid weekend. All attacks must be used to boost our clan's average score.

What attack strategy should I use?
Whatever you're most comfortable with. There are plenty of resources online showing meta armies for Raid Weekend. Look some up and try some out if you're unsure what to do.
